The preparations for the mass started at 9AM while the pilgrimage mass will commence at 10AM. It will be led by the Koper bishop Jurij Bizjak. It is the biggest meeting of its sort in Slovenia. Each year, several thousand people inflicted by illness, invalids, elderly and their relatives and friends as well as numerous volunteers that help the elderly and sick gather in Brezje.

If those attending wish it, the priests also grants them the sacrament of anointing the sick, preceded by the sacrament of reconciliation.
