His painting will be sold at the festival and all the proceeds will go to a foundation collecting funds for young music bands. “The painting is still in the process of creation and it will be finished a few days before the festival begins. I draw inspiration from the Wacken festival. The painting’s main motif will be the skull of a bull or cow, which is also the festival’s logo,” said Šeremet for MMC. The painting is still in the making. Šeremet shares information about his work’s progress through the Facebook social network.
The artist plans to attend the festival. “This will be my first time in Wacken and I am delighted to be part of the story,” he admits. Ever since high school, Šeremet has been a fan of metal and punk music and everything in between. “Such music always accompanies my painting process and helps me to put on canvas my discontent and anger that I feel towards the ‘system’,” he added. Apart from the artist, Slovenia will also be represented at the festival by the Noctiferia metal band.
