Despite many organizational difficulties, the festival will go ahead thanks to the many "enthusiasts and unselfish artists, willing to give up their performance fees". The festival will run from the 5th until the 29th of August. The last three festival days will be reserved for the Emona Promenade.

The opening program for Wednesday has not yet been confirmed, however the names of some of the other performers have already been revealed. Organizers inform that the complete festival program will be known in short. Among the bands performing will be Dreamwalk, The Ghena, Kontrabant and Dolly Bad. An Impro marathon will take place on Sunday, the 9th of August, while the Impro evening is scheduled for the 22nd of August.

Not only music: stand-up compedy, clowns and impro
This year's Trnfest will also feature a theater of clowns which a production called Končica, which will be performed by Kud Ljud and the Bufeto Institute. Brane Potočan will prepare a moving performance. The festival will come to a close on the 26th of August with a stand-up evening with Vid Valič. All of the Trnfest events will take place in the yard of the KUD France Prešeren center, and after 10 p.m. inside the cultural center in Trnovo.

End with the Emona Promenade
The last week of events, between the 27th and 29th of August, will traditionally be followed by the Emona Promenade - Trnfest's sister fesitival intended for families. Trnfest will also offer events for the youngest. The Little Red Riding Hood puppet show will be presented by the FRU-FRU puppet theater and the circus for children.
