In the coming days it will be clear whether the Croatian company Agrokor will buy the largest Slovenian retailer Mercator. Agrokor has not yet released any information on how it intends to finance this deal.

However it offered less money to buy Mercator shares than was agreed in September. It also promised to recapitalize the Slovenian retailer. Mercator shareholders have declined that offer. Now Agrokor is expected to give a new proposal which will be presented at a meeting in Vienna on Friday. The Croatian company is reportedly willing to pay 105 Euros per share.
