"If God would sing, he would surely sound like Andrea Bocelli," is what Canadian singer Celine Dion once said. The world famous Italian tenor, also called the Tuscan nightingale, released his 15th studio album last year, which he will present at Ljubljana’s Stožice venue on the 19th of November.

Bocelli’s latest album “Cinema” features renditions of classic film soundtracks and has already been met with many positive reactions. “Cinema” has climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Classical Albums chart. The album includes hits from films such as Gladiator, The Godfather, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Love Story, which Bocelli performs in his own unique way. Of course, the most popular soundtrack pieces from his latest album will only make up one part of Bocelli’s repertoire at the Ljubljana concert. The tenor will not leave out arias from well-known operas of Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini and other esteemed Italian composers.

Being one of the most successful Italian musicians in the world, Bocelli has shared the stage with a number of successful artists performing both classical and popular music. Among the opera singers Bocelli has performed with, worth pointing out are Jose Carreras and Placido Domingo. He has sold more than 80 million albums and is also considered a great lyric-writer and music producer.

His voice has echoed at some of the most famous stages and venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Colosseum in Rome, the Sydney and Berlin opera houses, Central Park in New York and other locations. His concerts are usually attended by around 200.000 people.
