The situation is also slowly getting better in the region of Postojna, Logatec and Cerknica. Currently power supply there is provided by power generators, but electricity there is planned to be restored today.

For 10 days now around 5,200 Civil Protection and Disaster Relief representatives and volunteers were helping in the relief efforts. They also helped clean the riverbeds, as the warm weather caused the water levels of rivers in Slovenia to raise – particularly the rivers Krka and Ljubljanica.

Other rivers have reached alarming water levels as well. As a preventive measure the Civil protection has already distributes 54 thousand flood bags.
