The Ambassador in Vienna Aleksander Geržina, who will supposedly become the new Ambassador in Zagreb, from 2012 to 2013 travelled to business trips by his own car, although in most cases an official car and a driver were available, which resulted in mileage reimbursement for the distance of 4,500 km. The economic advisor Vidko Filipič was reimbursed for the cost of overnight stay in a hotel in Kazan, Russia four times, without submitting adequate proofs. He has admitted that once he had stayed with his friends, but has still submitted a bill for overnight stay.

Severe deficiencies have been found out in Pristina and Belgrade, mainly in issuing visas to foreign citizens. In 50 cases in Pristina the process of decision-making for individual visas was unreasonably long, even longer than two months, and the calculation of fees was inadequate. The supervisors suggested an early return to Slovenia for the head of the Consular Department Tomaž Trobentar. In Belgrade the supervisors temporarily confiscated 651 visa applications for suspicion that false reasons for travel had been given, and unjustified charging for special DHL shipments have been found at the Consular Department led by Jožef Kečko. It is still unknown where payments of 50 euros went.
