In 2010, Slovenia formally identified 33 trafficking victims. A year later it was 21 and in 2012, it was 32. But the Council of Europe experts point out that these figures do not necessarily reflect the scale of the problem. They said Slovenian authorities should combat human trafficking and also raise awareness about the problem. But they should also pay more attention to human trafficking for the purpose of exploitation in the labor market, child trafficking and the exploitation of people from vulnerable groups, including the Roma.
