In the municipality of Šentjernej in the southern Dolenjska region six villages are cut off from the rest of the world and can be reached only by boat. Those affected are receiving food and bottled water from firefighters coming in with boats. In other parts of Dolenjska officials have begun estimating the damage. Damage caused by the Krka River in Kostanjevica pri Krki alone is estimated at around 5 million euros.

Meanwhile the army has come in to help deal with the floods in the eastern Pomurje region. Most affected there is the region around the Mura River and there is still a danger of landslides.
