Military unionists have already informed the top ministries and MP in the National Assembly. They will discuss the topic at meeting of the Defence Committee. More than 600 soldiers have received less than EUR 700 net pay in December, around 200 soldiers less than EUR 600. The public sector had to cut back the salaries of its employees to help stabilise the public finances. Now the government measures are affecting the army's organization, its staff and equipment. So it comes as no surprise that around 300 people have left the army last year and many who remain are on sick-leave. Unofficial statements from the military say that many members who were on sick-leave, actually earned their living across the border by doing some other job.
