"We have on stock enough beverages, the quantity we usually sell in one month," Tomo Rojina, the owner of the England Pub in Ljubljana said in the Televizija Slovenija show Sport Challenge (Športni izziv).
No large screen in the centre of the city
2,400 English fans will have the opportunity to watch the Sunday game at Stožice Stadium, but twice as many will come to Ljubljana. "The match against England is organisationally the largest challenge the Football Association of Slovenia has ever dealt with. Unfortunately no accompanying events have been planned for those who won't be able to watch the match directly, at the stadium. But I hope everything will turn out as we wish," said Aleš Zavrl, the secretary general of the Football Association of Slovenia, also the guest in the previously mentioned show, regarding the fact that an organized public transmission on the large screen in the centre of the city has not been planned.
Let us remind you that in last November the Champions League match between the Violets and Chelsea in Maribor approximately 6,000 people watched on the big screen set at the Leon Štukelj square, 600 of those Chelsea fans from London.
For Sunday a fan zone is planned in front of the Stožice Stadium, which will be opened for fans from 3 p.m. The stadium, where the special programme will be held, will start accepting spectators two hours before the beginning of the match, i.e. at 4 p.m.
