An additional problem is the lengthening list of those students that simply cannot afford to cover the expense of living in a dormitory. The president of dormitories of Slovenia, Danica Starkl is hopeful about next year, when the new law about providing scholarships will take effect and the under age students are given back their scholarships.

The highest state scholarship including the supplement for residence in a dormitory will amount to 170€ while the expense of a one-month stay at a dormitory is going to stay the same for the fourth year in a row at 208€.
