On Thursday, 24 Apr, starting at 8pm, the venue will host a number of Slovenian musicians and literary authors in memory of Pengov. They will perform their own interpretations of Pengov’s poems.

The event’s poster and the concert brochure was designed by Matjaž Vipotnik, who’s the author of the cover of Pengov’s first record, Odpotovanja.

Pengov was an accknowledged accoustic guitar player, lutist, singer/songwriter and poet from Ljubljana. Some labeled him ‘’Slovenia’s Leonard Cohen’’. He belonged to a group of artists who in the 1970s gathered at a legendary bar Šumi, opposite the Ljubljana Drama theatre.

He recorded his first album, Odpotovanja, the first independent record in the former Yugoslavia, with the Škuc record company in 1973.
