This year the festival brings a number of novelties, chocolate based workshops, events, exhibitions; the number of stages has again increased, and in order to make the tasting of chocolate masterpieces even more pleasant, an additional day is added. The director of the Radovljica Tourism Nataša Mikelj predicts a record. "Four years ago we had approximately 5,000 visitors, and last year this number of visitors reached 40,000. The reason we have so many visitors is obvious: practically everybody likes chocolate, so we are not limited to a narrow target group," she explained.

This year 40 domestic and foreign chocolate manufacturers will participate, understandably also the local chocolate factory Gorenjka. The manager of Gorenjka Alenka Košir says that they are very proud of the fact that the only genuine Slovenian chocolate is being produced in their factory for 93 years. That's the reason that on Saturday the visitors of the festival will each get a piece of the giant slab of their chocolate, this year weighing 93 kilograms.

The weather forecast promising a cool spell is favourable for the organizers. This year as well visitors are encouraged to come to Radovljica by train, and thus avoid the inconvenience of searching for a place to park.
