Primož Lavrenčič's Burja, and Guerila owned by Zmago Petrič are wineries from Vipava, Marko Fon's vineyards are in the Karst, and Aleks Klinec is the only representative of the Brda region on the list. All of them abide by sustainable approach in vineyards and wine cellars, and the wine produced by them is considered among better natural and biodynamic Slovenian wines.

Here is the link which allows you access to the extended list of all the Slovenian wineries included in the grading process.

"At the time the open European borders are questionable, the Slow Wine Guide wants to exceed geographic boundaries in the 2017 issue," the editor Fabio Giavedoni already in spring explained their intention of spreading the reach of the Slow Wine Guide to the edges of Slovenia.

"For the first time ever we will host, and grade vinicultural and wine companies with vineyards on two areas, Collio-Brda and Carso-Kras, regardless of the location of the wine cellar, be it on the Italian or the Slovenian territory. We are convinced that they should be treated equally as far as viniculture and wine production are concerned."
