It will be disconnected from the country's energy system for a scheduled overhaul. The work at the station will last 35 days and cost EUR 30m. The shutting down of the power plant is also part of the 10-year security check, one of the conditions for the plant to stay on-line.

Apart from the 620 employees, another 1500 people will take part in the maintanance work at Slovenia's only nuclear power station.
