The tourist association of Izola last year cooperated with external collaborators and prepared some strategical documents and guidelines, Luca Stančič Kodarin explained: "We are talking about oriented advertising, mostly digital, and general guidelines regarding where and how should Izola be positioned in future."
They intend to emphasize their peculiarities, in cooperation with the neighbouring municipalities:"Besides our joint appearance on Fairs where we will appear as Istria, and not as separate destinations, we have already prepared a joint calendar of events, and a joint catalogue is being prepared."
The plans have been made for other fields of joint appearances and promotion, focused on four type groups of visitors to Izola. "The groups have been specified in cooperation with the representatives of the Izola tourism: senior, young family, recreation enthusiast, and gourmet. Perhaps the last two type groups are not yet prominent, but we intend to attract more of their members in future."
They have also determined the common thread on this year's tourism: cuisine.
