Milojka Kolar Celar presented the results of the work done in the last five months, since she took the leading position at the Ministry of Health. This year the revised budget brings the additional 106.9 million euros for health care, 29% more than allotted in the revised budget for 2014.

"Health care should be considered an investment, and not a cost, or expense," was her comment at the press conference.

According to her, almost all the additional funds will be spent on urgent investments, among others for the completion of the nine out of ten emergency centres in the country, and the second phase of the construction of the diagnostic-therapeutic service, i.e. the new emergency centre in Ljubljana. "In this way all to the Slovenians better and easier accessibility will be granted, especially in life-threatening situations," she announced.
