The largest New Year's Eve party will be held in Ljubljana. Every year the wide selection of musical events is attracting more and more foreign tourists. The party is scheduled for 9 p.m. at four Ljubljana squares. At the central party at the Congress square Nuša Derenda, Alenka Godec, Jan Plestenjak and Gadi will perform. The party at the Square of French Revolution is intended for the fans of alternative rock music, with Blaž, Karmakoma, Happy ol' Mcweasel, Borghesia and Noctiferia. Oto Pestner, Manca Špik and Substituti, and Alfi Nipič will sing at the City square, and at the Pogačar square Ansambel Poljanšek, France and Skupina Krila. At midnight, if the sky stays clear, fireworks from the Ljubljana Castle will light the sky – if the weather prevents fireworks, a salvo of gunshots will mark the beginning of the New year.
Relaxed atmosphere in Maribor
Festively decorated streets of Maribor, and fairy squares are inviting visitors to stroll through the city; they will be able to spend the longest night of the year at the Leon Štukelj square. Karneval band and MI2 will take care of music. Ptuj city municipality has prepared a heated covered place, where Nuša Derenda will be entertaining the guests. Due to forecasted low temperatures the New Year's Eve party in Ptuj will take place in a heated tent at the City Market. Celje is expecting a lot of visitors as well, where the music by Modrijani will shorten the hours until the New year. At the Victory square in Murska Sobota Špirit and Blue planet groups will assure good mood of the guests, and just before midnight the mayor's traditional speech, and fireworks are scheduled.
New Year's Eve party with a water symphony
At the Slovenia square at Kranj the participants of the New Year's Eve party will be entertained by Marko Vozelj and Tomaž Ahačič - Fogl. Bled is promising a majestic water symphony for midnight, or you can chose to enter into the new year by hiking with torches to Rečica, to the St. Andrew's Church.
In Piran there will be, weather permitting, a laser show and New Year's Eve party with Mambo Kings at the Tartini square – if the weather prevents the outdoor party, the party will take place in a tent in Lucija. You can spend the first day of the New year in Portorož – the first afternoon of the year will start at 2 p.m. at the beach, with the 11th dive into the sea. The party will then continue at the platform, with Blue Angel Gang music group, and it will end with traditional fireworks. Participants of the party in Koper will be entertained by Platana, Rock the Pop - Tulio Furlanič and Marino Legovič, Žiga Rustja and Gedore. Traditional fireworks at midnight will light the sky. In Izola the party will be organized at Manzioli square, with groups Peach kiss and Ne me jugat, and Rudi Bučar as entertainers.
Party guests in Gorica will be entertained by Zablujena generacija
There will be two stages in Nova Gorica – the first at the Kidrič street, where Happy Day will entertain the audience, and the second at the Bevk square, with the concert of Zablujena generacija.
