In In recent weeks, the roads directorate delayed some tasks in order to settle its urgent financial liabilities until they receive financial means. The road directorate needs approximately a €150 million per year just to prevent further deterioration of roads and maintain their current condition.

This year's budget for investments had not provided them any funds except for projects that were up to 85 percent financed by European funds. All other activities had to be financed by around €60 million.
