The analysis of results of the due diligence process, the current market conditions, and the ownership structure of the company are the reasons given by Panasonic for its decision not to take over Gorenje.

Despite this, Gorenje and Panasonic plan continued corporation, but primarily in the field of sales.

Domen Granda from GBD Brokerage believes that the greatest challenges encountered by Panasonic were the current market conditions and Gorenje's ownership structure. In the overall strategy of the state, Gorenje is not a portfolio investment, which means that the state has no intention of selling its share. It's also questionable what kind of acquisition premium would be demanded by the largest shareholders.

The head of Gorenje, Franko Bobinac, stated today that the company is preforming very well and is on its way to reaching its goals.
