The election blackout will be in force until Sunday evening at 7 p.m. when polling stations close. In this time campaigning for the general election is prohibited. The Internal Affairs Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia will be monitoring the situations and handling possible violations.

Fines for violating the blackout range from 150 euros to 600 euros for indivuduals, and from 700 euros to 3.000 for campaign organizers.

Violations can be reported on the following telephone numbers of the Interior Ministry: 080 12 00 and 080 21 13.
