The poems were translated by Kolja Mičević, who immersed himself in his works especially at the turn of the millennium around the poet's 200th birthday, according to the Slovenian Embassy in Paris.

Prešeren's biographical data has been included in the book and there is a list of names and notes at the end. The preface, which was written by Tatjana Globokar, places Prešeren and his works in a historical background, which to the French readers who are not Prešeren connoisseurs is added value.
