Seven weeks are left until the beginning of the winter season for ski jumpers. Peter Prevc, who dominated the World Cup last winter, has been scrupulously following the plans.

The best ski jumpers have already completed the summer part of the season. Their attention is now turned towards the coming winter. October, and a large part of November are intended for the final preparations before the matches in Rukka, Finland, where the World Cup will open with qualifications on November 24. Peter Prevc closed the summer season with the title of the national champion. For the fourth time in a row he was the best in Slovenia on artificial turf.

As in the past years, he remains focused on winter, and the entire summer was dedicated to preparations for the coming season. He is satisfied with the work done, as he claims he followed all the plans: "Everything went well in summer. I remained healthy and was able to train normally, and that is of utmost importance. The worst that can happen is an injury or a cold to prevent you from training, and force you to rest for a week or so. I faithfully followed the programme. When the others went to Japan, I stayed at home and spent more time at the stadium; for some time that resulted in less grace on the jumping hills, but now everything is coming together nicely."

Last year Peter had a dream season, he practically had no competition. The champion from Dolenja vas, who recently celebrated his 24th birthday, can boast with the most dominant season in the history of ski jumps.
