On Tuesday afternoon anti-government protests are scheduled to take place in Maribor, Ljubljana, Koper, Kranj, Nova Gorica and Murska Sobota.

The protest in Maribor will be organized by the same group that organized last year's protest, “The 29th of October” movement. The protest is scheduled for 4pm at the Leon Štukelj square.

Organizers say that everything they warned about a year ago is slowly becoming a reality. According to protesters the banking-political elite has managed to reshape laws and subordinate institutions to be able to sell off all that is left in Slovenia.

Other groups, including the TRS Movement for the Sustainable Development of Slovenia, will also join the protests across Slovenia. "Let us gather on the 29th of October and say enough! Enough belt-tightening! Enough to the destruction of companies! Enough to the violation of rights! Enough taking advantage of the legal state! Enough tax evading! Enough! Enough lifetime politicians!" wrote among other things the TRS movement inviting people to come join the protests.

The All-Slovenian People's Uprising movement warns that it is every person's absolute responsibility to join in the protests, considering the current state Slovenia is in.

"We are convinced that people are well aware that they are responsible for their own destiny. That is why we call on everyone to no longer rely on the political marionettes in Alenka Bratušek's government and in the parliament. The reasons for the protests are still there, and that is why we expect citizens to come out in massive numbers and express their dissatisfaction," wrote the All-Slovenian People’s Uprising movement.

Protests to take place in central city squares
Just like in Maribor protests at 4pm are also announced at Tito's square in Koper, at the main square in Murska Sobota, while in Kranj the exact location has not yet been defined. Meanwhile the protests in Nova Gorica, at the Bevkov trg square, and in Ljubljana, at the Trg republike square, will begin at 5pm.
