These days the accommodation centre in Dobova is also festively decorated. The volunteers took care of that – they decorated the centre, and also put seasonal decorations at the Dobovo railway station. Primož Jamšek from the Slovenian Philanthropy explained that the animation of children is beneficial for the entire family, as for a short time the parents are also relieved. The purpose of decorations is to add warmth to the reception of refugees.

The members of the Philanthropy are aware that people have much greater needs than need for food and beverages. They should feel that they are accepted as people, and that they are welcome regardless of where in Europe they will be allowed to remain, if anywhere. "The decision is not ours to make, it depends on the asylum policies. We can only try to give them back their dignity," he explained.
