After a series of awards winnings the animated story Boles from the Slovenian director Špela Čadež was honored with the Best short movie at the 25th Trieste Film Festival.

The Slovenian-German co-production is about a love affair. Winner among Long titles was Styd (Shame) by Russian director Jusup Razikov. The festival, which since its Friday's opening offered 80 movies, began with the projection of the Slovenian minority co-productions Epizoda (Episode). The jury also awarded the prize for best documentary, which was won by Carlo Zoratti for The Special Need and Agnes Sos for Szerelem Patak (Flow of love).
