Every year the World Bank puts the list together to name the best countries in the world for doing business. It measured business conditions in 189 countries.

According to the World Bank in the past year Slovenia has seen most progress in the issuing of building permits . It also commended Slovenia for setting easier employment rules, changing notice periods and severance pays provisions, and raising the minimum wage. Slovenia ranked highest for investor protection.

Meanwhile Slovenia lacked behind in setting up new companies and getting business credit loans. Singapore remains at the top of the Diong Business list for an eighth year in a row.
