Students from other European cities joined the Slovenian dancing crowd. According to preliminary results, between 50,000 and 55,000 students participated in the event. Large parts of Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina have been cut off from the rest of the world, which had a negative impact on the turnout.
Meanwhile, Slovenian students have been raising money for the victims of the floods in the Balkans. President Borut Pahor and Mayor Zoran Janković greeted the students in Ljubljana, while Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek addressed the crowd in Maribor.
