An Adria Airways plane flew from Brnik to Hurghada this weekend. It’s the first plane after two months of embargo to fly to a Red Sea resort with 120 Slovenian tourists. After two months, 120 tourists have packed their suitcases and scuba gear and flew to Hurghada.
"We are among the last tourists to return to Egypt. Only the Italians and Scandinavians have not yet decided to do so. The British have never stopped flying to Egypt, and the Germans and Austrians came back two, maybe three weeks ahead of us," said the General Director of Palma, Matej Knaus.
Heba Sidhom also invites tourists to return to Egypt, where the numbers of visitors are still quite low.
"I don’t blame travel agents because they decided to cancel trips back then, this was understandable. However, it shouldn’t be this way permanently. It’s not dangerous anymore, things have calmed down, a sense of security has returned and normal life is back on track. I see no reason for visitors to be afraid. Egypt is as safe as any other country," says Heba Sidhom the Egyptian ambassador to Slovenia.
