He is getting ready to release a new novel entitled ''Cominform in Zabrinje''. The book focuses on the 1948 split between former Soviet Union leader Stalin and Yugoslav revolutionary and statesman Tito, and Slovenes living in Trieste.

Marking his jubilee, he received the Saints Cyrl and Methodius award conferred by the Slovene Bishops' Conference.
