Prevc won the 64th Four Hills Tournament in great style. After the poor jumping conditions at the first stop in Oberstdorf where he finished third, he then put on a great performance and won the next three events. In the final overall standings Prevc won the Golden Eagle with a convincing lead of 26,5 points.
In his career so far Prevc has finished second in the battle for the World Cup Big Crystal Globe on two occasions. In his shelves he already has two small crystal globes in special standings, and a silver and bronze medal from both the Olympic Games and World Championships. But this was his first time at the very top of the highlight event of the ski jumping season. He labeled this success as the biggest in his career: "I place this Golden Eagle at the top of my success pyramid, while all my other medals serve as a good foundation. Some people put roosters on top of their roofs, but I'm putting an eagle."

Currently the number one ski jumper by far
In his career Prevc always took things one step at a time. He has already achieved a number of outstanding results, but now he has climbed at the very top. He has proven that he is a champion and without a doubt the number one ski jumper in the world at this moment. At the end of the Four Hills Tournament, Goran Janus said he had never before seen such a dominant ski jumper in his coaching career. Prevc remained modest: "Schlierenzauer was extremely convincing. At his time Malyzs was also extraordinary. Even last year Freund was unbeatable at nine events. You have to try keep this kind of form for as long as possible."

"I don't want to set any limits or goals for myself. I wish to only have one path, which would keep rising and never end," said the 23-year-old from Dolenja Vas about the future. Last year, after finishing third at the Four Hills Tournament, he said he had completed his "initial success package". In some sense he may have now started opening his new, golden package. Prevc smirked: "Let's say that's next in line. But whether it happens or not, only time will tell."
