The main organizer, Rudi Bregar, said Fran Levstik took two days to make the 22km long way over the hilly landscape he described in his literary work, while today’s hikers surmount the feat in a few hours.

The hikers that applied received a book with the presentation of tourist sites along the Levstik road and the history of viticulture in this part of the Dolenjska region, presented also through the growing of the lily of the valley.

At the hike’s destination, on the village square in Čatež, the trebanjska societies will prepare the traditional Razhodnja, a varied cultural and entertainment program that will conclude, as is right, with the celebration of “martinovanje” or in other words - the celebration of St. Martin’s day.
