Trnfest opens tonight with an exhibition by Samo Lapajne and a concert by Hamo & Tribute 2 love. The festival is organised by KUD France Prešeren and goes on until the 31st of August.
Artists have turned down their fees
The Trnovo festival programme will be co-created by Slovene and foreign artists in the fields of music, theatre, dance, literature, film and visual arts.

The opening of an exhibition of Lapajne's theatre posters in the KUD Gallery and a concert on the open air stage will open this year's festival. The Hamo & Tribute 2 love band will present songs from their latest bluesy album 3p.
This year's musical programme will be co-created by hip-hoppers from Trnovo and bands The Nilz, Dandelion Children, Ambra and Lolita.
Every night from the open air stage into the hall
Every night, following events on the open air summer stage, the festival's programme will move into the hall. There Katzen kabaret will perform on the first Sunday, while other days the festival will host a rich gamut of DJs.

Thursdays are intended for children or evenings of films, whereas Sundays will in principal be reserved for theatre. The opening show is the Gospod predsednik (Mister President) theatre piece by Žiga Čamernik.

There will of course also be an Impro maraton as well as StendAp, and between 24th and 26th August, the yard of the Trnovo cutural temple will again host the street festival Emonska promenada.
