But speaking to RTV Slovenia's Studio City he stressed it was too early to talk about a candidacy, but only about his readiness for it. The mandate of the current UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon expires in 2016. Mr. Turk said his candidacy would be based on his 30 years of experience in the UN institution. The Eastern European Group within the UN, whose member is also Slovenia, is the only group which still hasn't had a secretary-general.
