The worst traffic jam with a length of 10 kilometers has been reported on the A4 highway from Maribor via Ptuj towards the border crossing Gruškovje – Macelj. Traffic is increased on all main border crossings with Croatia and also on all main coastal roads. Drivers also need from 15 minutes to 1 hour to exit Slovenia.

An accident also occurred on the main G2-105 road Novo mesto – Metlika at the mountain pass Vahta. There a female motorcycle passenger died because of injuries, when a car and motorcycle collided. Due to the accident the road has been closed for hours.
