He beat his Hungarian opponent Ferenc Hafner in Maribor in front of some 3,000 boxing fans. The 38-year-old Zavec won with a technical knockout in the 7th round. Zavec said he was confident of victory, and said he was happy he ended the match without any injuries.

This was Zavec’s 34th victory in his professional career.
