As the head of the Izola health centre in 2010, Živčec Kalan pledged EUR 150,000 as a loan guarantee to Mabra inženiring, the company the Medical Chamber had bought business premises from. The court claimed that the controversial loan guarantee was unlawful. Živčec Kalan's defence announced an appeal.
