Austrian President Van der Bellen called on Slovenia and Croatia to solve their border dispute, as he hosted the presidents of Slovenia and Croatia in Salzburg. He fell short of telling Croatia to respect international law and implement the arbitration decision, but he did offer Austria's assistance in resolving the dispute.
Slovenian President Borut Pahor and Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović meanwhile repeated their countries' respective positions, with Pahor stressing that the question was not if the arbitration decision would be implemented, but "when and how".
