It will open with a photo exhibition paying tribute to acclaimed theatre director Tomaž Pandur.

Eleven plays will be vying for awards at the festival.

The international festival section will bring productions from Croatia, the Czech Republic and Finland.

The festival will come to a close with the award ceremony on October 29.
