Jamajški atlet Usain Bolt je odpovedal nastop na domačem mitingu v Kingstonu. Tekmovanje sicer organizira njegov trener Glen Mills.
Tiskovna agencija AFP navaja, da je svetovni rekorder na 100 in 200 metrov že v sredo zapustil domovino. Odšel naj bi na zdravljenje poškodbe.
The fastest man in the world was scheduled to compete in the Camperdown Classic, a 400-metre race in Kingston, Jamaica.
Bolt was set to race against his training partner, world 100 metres champion Yohan Blake.
But those plans have been cancelled after Bolt left the Caribbean island on a business trip that apparently was unavoidable.
“Got some exciting projects coming up,” Bolt’s agent Ricky Simms told Reuters.
The triple Olympic champion is expected to return to Jamaica within a week.
Bolt’s first race in the lead up to the London Olympics could be on March 17 at the University of the West Indies Track & Field Invitational.
