Cerar said that the founding congress of the party was expected at the end of May. By then the party will finalize its political program. Cerar has also been mentioned as a new player in the political arena in February of last year.
He and the temporary head of Positive Slovenia back then, Alenka Bratušek, have been discussing the possibility of him becoming the new PM designate after the fall of former PM Janša’s government. However Cerar did not see how sufficient political consensus could be achieved by an interim government.

He had gathered supporters and formed a civil society group a year after that. They will now form a party. He said the party would feature a diverse range of citizens, including experts in many fields and business people.
