This time Slovenia has taken the 39th place on the Corruption Perception Index of Transparency International (TI). It means it has improved for four places. Doria explained that an index is given to 175 countries, measuring the level of perception of corruption in public sector. On the scale from 0 to 100, 0 means high corruption, and 100 absence of corruption.

Slovenia received 58 points, and took 39th place. Last year Slovenia gained one point less, but placed 43rd. As Doria explained, TI grade improved mostly due to the improved estimation of corruptibility among businessmen. Yet Slovenia failed to reach the grade from 2012 achieved with 61 points, which in his opinion means that »we are still far from the established principles of integrity«.
