Pilgrims from Slovenia and members of the Slovenian minority in Italy and Austria embarked on the 33rd traditional pilgrimage to Monte Santo di Lussari today. The event on the border between the Slavic, Germanic, and Romance peoples was marked also with a lecture by historian Aleš Maver and a mass by Roman Catholic archbishop from Serbia Stanislav Hočevar. The Pilgrimage is organized each year by Rafaelova Družba, an organization promoting Slovenian and Catholic values among Slovenian expatriates, and the Association of Slovenian Diaspora Priests.
