The government faces major pushback after their decision that civil servants will need to be either recovered from or vaccinated against Covid-19 to be able to work at their offices. Frančišek Verk, head of the Trade Union of State bodies, said that the Union would challenge the new rule at the Constitutional Court. According to him, the obligatory vaccination is being introduced for civil servants in a by-law, while many legal experts argue that obligatory vaccination may only be introduced via changes to the communicable disease act. The trade unions representing soldiers and police officers are thinking about proceeding in a similar fashion as well.
