Gorenje plans to cut the number of employees.
The household appliances maker, which is owned by Chinese Hisense, plans to lay off 176 workers in Slovenia by mid-April, because of »poor business results«.
The Gorenje management says this will help boost production efficiency and modernize its technological processes.
After a year of losses, Gorenje's goal for this year is to generate 30 million euros in profit.
