Almost two dozen concrete blocks with brass plates bearing the victims' names will be installed in several locations around the city. The stones will mark the last known homes or workplaces of Jews in the city.

The global project was initiated by a German artist in1992 and these blocks have since been installed in more than 610 cities in Europe.

Tonight, an installation dedicated to the 587 recorded Slovenian victims of the Holocaust will be unveiled.
