Kayaker Nejc Žnidaršič won his fifth world championship title in the sprint event at the wildwater canoeing world championships in Bratislava, Slovakia yesterday. Žnidaršič has become the only whitewater kayaker to have won the world championship title five times.
Žnidaršič finished half a second seconds ahead of Luca Barone of France. Another Frenchman, Maxence Barouh, won the bronze, while Slovenia's Anže Urankar placed fourth.
