The traditional get-together under the Najevnik Linden Tree near Črna na Koroškem was held yesterday. Around 400 people, including high-profile politicians, attended the gathering. President Pahor called on every citizen to take care of the country. He said everyone had a responsibility to preserve the peace, security, and current level of prosperity for our children and grandchildren. The keynote speaker at the meeting was ethnologist and anthropologist Marija Makarovič, who noted the history of the 750-year-old linden tree and the turning points in Slovenia's history that the tree has witnessed.
