Slovenia is celebrating the day of unification of Prekmurje with the homeland. It marks the day that the eastern part of the country joined Slovenia in 1919. Presidnet Pahor spoke ahead of the event at a ceremony yesterday.
Prekmurje was united with Slovenia after the first world war, following more than a millennium of foreign rule.
